I thought I'd write you something as it's been quite a while. I think about you a lot most days in fact. It's weird to be 24 now older than you were when I met you and to think of all that's passed in these four-and-a-bit years. It's hard to know what to say but I just want to let you know that I think about you and the gap you've left behind pretty much every day. Josh and I will have known each other for six years in about a fortnight and I can't believe how much things have changed since that first excited day back in 2003. Life has changed out of all recognition since then in every single way and I wish you were here to enjoy it with us. Everything seems to move so fast but you're always there frozen in time it's almost like you're more of a legendary figure than anything else at least to me. But that can't be all bad right? You could be like the Doctor flying through space and time and having amazing and strange adventures. Actually I'm a bit cross I never got to geek with you about Eccleston and Tennant and this new chap Matt Smith not to mention Torchwood and Red Dwarf cos that would have been great fun I think. I try my best to indulge Josh's nerdy side but I feel I'm a poor substitute for your encyclopaedic knowledge of all things sci-fi! Anyway Joel I'll be thinking of you here and there as always and missing you. Take care Love Dan xxxx

Here comes September and what used to be the start of my favourite time of year. My birthday your birthday and the build up to Christmas'
Now it's so different. The begining of September is the saddest time as you are no longer here to celebrate your birthday with us. Life will never be the same and you are missed so much everyday.
I dreamt of you last night. You told me you had been ill for a long time but you were better now and that you had been in Spain! I asked when you were coming home but you wouldn't answer.

4 years today/tonight the world lost a star.. I know its not the date but a Wednesday evening/Thursday morning it was and to me it is more the day then the date of the 8th/9th June.
5pm ish you got your Glastonbury ticket and a few hours later you just .....stopped.
We miss you more and more as time ticks on without you. You are never more than a thought away son.

I was talking to a work friend and colleague about you last week and remembering you, she lost her nephew suddenly as well and we were sharing our thoughts and feelings anyway told her about your site, i saw her earlier today and she has checked you out already i was so chuffed, she thought you are amazing and loved your hair. Hey Joel, Stayed at your house last night and watched for the first time ever an entire episode of Dr Who!! Although i love the theme tune its not really my thing! And i have to admit i didn't quite get it but i think the jist of it was that people were being saved onto a computer hard drive!!! and then they would come back to earth (If only things were that easy eh? and we'd have you back as easy as that). When i was watching it i kept wishing and thinking if only you were there you'd of been taking your time explaining every minute detail to me i can just imagine it. Miss you loads Joel wish that i'd seen you a lot more and wish i could see you again even if it was just for an hour and i'd be prepared to watch Dr Who with you or any other sci-fi stuff you liked.
